A little about us!

**UPDATE**

As of September 2018 - Champion Horse Blankets is Under New Management!

About The New Owner

Hello I'm Chelsea Scott and first of all I want to thank Sue for all of her hard work in building this brand over the past several years (since 2006!) and for her support in the transition of the company. I know it was a hard decision for her to sell her company and I could not be more honored to take over from here.

Sue has entrusted me to take on her business to help it grow. I will work as hard as I can to make sure the transition does not affect you the end customer.

I appreciate any ideas or feedback from you, so please get in touch!

So who am I?

Hi my name is Chelsea and I have been involved with horses for 30 years!

I started at a very young age vaulting, this led to many competitions including FEI level shows. Once I became a bit older, I transitioned over to western riding where I leased a trail horse in Anmore, BC and spent the weekends on 3-4 hour trail rides. As I became closer to my teenage years I got the bug to do more and started taking English riding lessons in Maple Ridge, BC.

I had found my calling!
At the age of 17 my parents realized my hobby was more of a passion and bought me my first horse, a Thoroughbred named Carson that I had been riding in my lessons. Since then I have now owned 6 horses over the years and with each one have learned so much. I enjoy competitions and have competed up to the 1.15m Jumpers, 3’ Hunters, Level 1 Dressage and Entry Level Cross Country.

I currently own a a young Trakhener/Percheron cross that I am showing at Training Level dressage (with hopes of making it to at least 2nd level) and have started jumping her over small fences (with great dreams of her being my 3’ Hunter). I will post updates on this horse as well as use her to model some blankets.
Being involved in the Equestrian community has been wonderful; I have made many lifelong friends across the lower mainland as I have boarded and ridden in Abbotsford, Langley, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge. Over the years I have worked at several barns (both full and part time), whether being a stall cleaner, working student or groom. I have dreamed of making horses a full time job my whole life and while that is not the case yet I am working very hard to make that dream come true. In the meantime I pounced on this opportunity to take on Champion Horse Blankets and I cannot thank Sue enough for believing in me! Your support is amazing and the business you have built says a lot about you.
I want existing customers to know that I want to maintain the level of service you are used to from Sue and will strive hard to work with all of you. I do plan on building this business and bringing in new products and colours as we go, so please send me suggestions if you have any. I will also try and post regular updates on Facebook and Instagram so keep your eyes open there!
